About PW Lobby Group

Pac/West Lobby Group (PW Lobby Group) is the premiere Oregon-based government affairs firm. In conjunction with its partner company, Pac/West Communications, we have decades of experience advocating for diverse groups before the legislature, state agencies, and the relevant boards and commissions. These groups include: Individual businesses and trade associations; Labor organizations—both public and private; Agricultural and natural resource entities; Veterans service organizations; Coordinated care organizations, clinics, and health care provider groups; Multi-cultural and progressive organizations; and city, county, state, federal, and regional officials. We have accomplished this by having relationships as the foundation of our strategies, and remaining eager to grow, open to new methods and technologies, and creative in our plans and approaches.

Even when the odds are stacked against us, we have proven ourselves capable of achieving winning results for our clients. We take individualized, creative approaches to achieve results for our clients.

We secured $10 million in state bonding to help construct medical workforce training center in Roseburg, and are now managing the project execution, despite the significant opposition from competitors that did not want state resources dedicated to creating a new medical college.

We were able to approve four demonstration projects with a mandatory prerequisite that all contractors bidding for the work must provide health care, retirement, and apprenticeship programs. This not only excluded potential bad actors but created a positive incentive to do right by workers and uphold Oregon values.

We were made aware that Brookings, Oregon was in need of a local emergency room so that patients in need of emergency services did not have to travel 45 minutes out-of-state to the nearest emergency room. We were able to secure $2.5 million in the 2019 long session so that critical access was available in Rural Oregon.

Most of our coordinated care organization clients serve members in rural communities, which are struggles to get the same attention as urban Oregon. Through our advocacy for the Coalition for a Health Oregon, we have been able to position ourselves as a voice for rural Oregonians, ensuring that policy around healthcare is created with them in mind as well. We bring rural Oregonian voices to the capitol.

We are the kind of team that will show up for you when you need it, even if it seems out of the scope of traditional lobbying. For example, when fires terrorized Oregon communities in of September 2020, a nursing home in Marion County was put on evacuation Level 2. We jumped into gear ensuring that residents had transportation and resources, and found temporary shelter for mobility challenged seniors who were at high risk of contracting COVID-19. We called local and state officials to make sure that this care facility did not fall through the cracks and were able to evacuate the residents safely. Because of our conversations with Oregon leaders, the state is now evacuating seniors in care facilities once they reach Level 2.
