Gina Franzosa

Gina is an experienced project manager, advocate, and elected official who understands all perspectives of crafting and implementing smart public policy. Her career as a civil engineer has spanned more than 20 years, with a focus on green buildings and sustainable infrastructure. She has also lobbied Oregon legislators on initiatives to achieve the state’s ambitious climate goals and currently serves on the Bend City Council, where she is focused on addressing housing affordability and creating walkable, bikeable, small business-friendly neighborhoods.

Climate and the outdoors. Living and working in beautiful Central Oregon, Gina is intimately familiar with how a healthy climate impacts Oregon’s world-class outdoor recreation and natural resources. These values have motivated her career, helping elevate Oregon as a global leader in green buildings and upholding the state’s commitments to net-zero carbon emissions.

Outside of work, you can find Gina on the ski slopes or hiking with her Golden Retriever, Archie. She grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania and holds degrees in civil engineering and an MBA from Portland State University.
