Brayden Sparkman Joins Pac/West Full Time
When Brayden Sparkman first joined Pac/West Lobby Group as an intern in 2024, he was just beginning to explore his interest in state politics. Two years and one college degree later, Sparkman has gained firsthand experience of the how the legislative process works and what it takes to be an effective advocate inside the Oregon Capitol.
Pac/West is pleased to announce that Sparkman has joined our team full time, where he will continue to support clients and their legislative goals in an expanded role. The hiring not only strengthens our work in government affairs, communications, and association management, but demonstrates our firm’s commitment to local professional development leading to productive and rewarding careers.
“I’m incredibly excited to continue my journey with Pac/West,” Sparkman said. “During my time as an intern, I learned the importance of thorough research on the issues that matter most to our clients and how to build strong relationships across the political aisle.
“Attention to detail is critical in this work, and I look forward to continuing my growth while helping advance thoughtful policy solutions,” he added.
Sparkman, 22, graduated May 2 from Corban University with a degree in business management. He previously graduated from West Salem High School and said his biggest goal at Pac/West has been figuring out how to make a positive impact in his community.
“For me personally, the biggest thing is how can I make a difference?” Sparkman said. “I want to figure out how I fit into this massive puzzle that is state government and contribute to making the state better than when I found it.”
That work has taken many forms at Pac/West, from coordinating social media to testifying directly before lawmakersduring the 2025 session. Ryan Tribbett, Pac/West President, said the best way for young professionals to learn their craft is by doing, and Sparkman has consistently risen to the challenge.
“The best way to learn this work is by jumping into the fray, and Brayden has embraced every opportunity to grow,” Tribbett said. “From day one, he’s shown a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to tackle new challenges. He is thoughtful and driven, and we’re excited to have him continue to build his career with Pac/West while delivering great results for our clients.”

Outside of work, Sparkman enjoys spending time with friends and family. He supports the Salem-based nonprofit Darian’s Gift, assisting families and children with pediatric cancer. Sparkman is also an avid golfer who competed on the Corban University team.
He sees clear parallels to his work in the Capitol and his game on the links.
“There is so much work that you have to put in behind the scenes versus in the spotlight, whether that’s on the golf course or testifying in front of a committee,” Sparkman said. “Also, when you make a mistake, you have to find a way to rebound quickly and mentally readjust. That is the mindset I promise to bring to our clients. I’m ready to do whatever it takes for them to succeed.”
